Our milk is from the local cheese factory, the bread and granola are homemade, eggs, coffee and fruits are produced locally as well.Our staff is friendly and helpful and will be happy to help you in anything you may require from them. The staff working at Casa Tranquilo has over 20 years of experience living, breathing and hiking in the cloud forest, we know all the great little secrets of the area better than anyone else in town... You may even hire one of our local guides to take you around and show you the off the beaten path side of Monteverde's cloud forest.CASA TRANQUILO is also aware and committed to the environment... At the property we strive to be as environmental friendly as possible, and we encourage our guests to help out in these practices while staying at our property... Recycling is very important at the property. We use the supermarket bags as garbage bags for example. We try to use only energy saving light bulbs.
