GuateFriends Xela (Quetzaltenango) opened August, 2011 and is our third location (also in Guatemala City, and Coban) in the family of award winning GuateFriends Hostals & Bed & Breakfasts. As with all of our locations, transportation is included in your stay with us. (We pickup from the 'Terminal' in Xela if you're coming by bus, or just let us know where you need to be picked up and we'll be happy to get you.)

GuateFriends Xela's was created a true, and elegant Bed & Breakfast, for temporary and long-term guests. As always, we offer superior quality, cleanliness, all hardwood furniture, traditional Guatemalan decor and modern amenities, (including real hot water), travel advice and personalized tours made just for you! We also offer some special amenities like fully stocked mini-refrigerators in each room, imported soaps, and shower gels, a cozy fireplace to warm up to for those chilly nights in Xela, and more of the comforts of home.

Since we opened our first location in 2005 in Guatemala City, we have been known as the perfect example of traditional Guatemalan ambiance coupled with modern Guatemala style, excellent homemade foods and unparalleled customer service. Our Bed and Breakfast's are family owned and operated.

GuateFriend's hands-down, has the best organic & imported foods from around the world and we make everything from scratch -- we even make our own bread and butter! We also provide lunch and dinner (upon request) which is unheard of at B&B's/hostels in Guatemala. Breakfast is included and is provided from 7AM - 10AM. Gourmet organic teas, and organic coffee are served throughout the day.
