The Cheeky Monkey Guesthouse, Phnom-Penh, Cambodja

The sister accommodation from the team at The Mad Monkey. The Cheeky Monkey Guesthouse in Phnom Penh offers our guests a modern home stay with all of the Khmer charm as an alternative option to hostel accommodation in a central location.

The guest house is very intimate, we are located at the Penthouse level of a traditional Khmer building overlooking a Buddhist Wat. All rooms have AC, flat screen TV's and breakfast is included in your room rate. There is a large balcony looking over the city skyline, from it you can see the Mekong River, The Royal Palace and the Independence Monument. The top floor of the accommodation houses a working art studio. Guests are welcome to use the art studio to paint as they wish. The property is ideal for business people, guests staying for an extended period or so whilst working in Phnom Penh or those wanting a comfortable base from which to explore Phnom Penh

All rooms are cleaned every day, bed sheets and towels are changed on request; each room has its own private set of keys for your security. Access to the top floor is via three flights of stairs so customers may wish to consider this prior to booking. Every room comes with a comfortable sprung bed, comfortable pillows, a snugly duvet and its own flat screen TV with over 100 channels available. There is also a communal living area with a large flat screen TV for movie nights (there are hundreds of films in our library) a book exchange and a bar well stocked with beers, good quality wines and spirits open between 7pm and 10pm for our guests each night.

By Tuk Tuk - No Tuk Tuk bus pickups are offered due to buses being consistently late - however a Tuk Tuk pick up should cost you no more than $5USD from any bus station. Ask the Tuk Tuk driver to take you to The Almond Hotel, The You Khin Guesthouse or opposite the Russian Embassy. Don’t get in a Tuk Tuk if they don’t know where these are - many Tuk Tuk drivers don’t know whets four blocks away from where they live so don’t get frustrated. From the Airport - No pickups are offered but there are Taxis $11.00 and Tuk Tuks $8.00 always available from the airport. Again, print the map.

By Boat - Get a Tuk Tuk from the boat station - the same rules as per buses.
