The Sleeping Indian Hostel, La Fortuna, Costa Rica

The Sleeping Indian Hostel located in La Fortuna is named after little chain of mountains next to the Arenal Volcano..known by the locals as El Indio Dormido- The Sleeping Indian as it resembles a big fat indian lying down. Gerald Pereira the owner is fully bilingual and is a knowledgeable nature tour guide and invites you to come to visit as a guest but leave as a friend.

The Sleeping Indian Hostel is not a regular hotel or hostel. There is no official reception and no fancy uniform, and we rent only 4 rooms. We are a small Costa Rican family run hostel. With our intimate atmosphere, fully equipped kitchen, our excellent old fashioned gourmet made coffee, our spacious living room and our great hospitality, no matter what kind of traveler you are, you will feel at home straight away. Making you feel at home is what we do best, because we love people, and we love hosting.
