Over Yudanaka Seifu-so
Ideal place for visiting the famouse Wild Monkey Park! A traditional Japanese style guesthouse, 2 min walk from Yudanaka Sta. and we are at Yudanaka Onsen, Nagano Pref. Free LAN connections in lobby area. Built during the Meiji era (1868-1912), we have a traditional inner garden too. The building is filled with traditional atmosphere. Check-in time is Noon.
Yudanaka Onsen area is surrounded by mountains and the area is famous for its so called 'snow monkeys', wild Japanese monkeys who are taking open-air hot spring baths. We are only 2 minutes walk from Yudanaka Station, Nagano Dentesu Line.
All of the 15 guest rooms are Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats. We have 4 different types of bath. You can use the onsen privately upon request (for free). It is open 24 hours. Soak in a hot spring baths and relax!
Facilities include a souvenir shop, gallery, Japanese-style banquet room, parking lot and a ping pong room.

From Nagano Station to Yudanaka Station - About 38 minute train ride on the Nagano Dentetsu line. Take the Yudanaka train station to our place.

Absolutly fantastic service. The owners and thier son were awesome. They met us at the front door and looked after us from then on. The snow monkey park is not to be missed if you are in the area and I highly recomend Yudanaka Seifu-so for your accomodation. The private onsen was great as both myself and wife could share the experience together.

Yudanaka Seifo-so was the highlight of our trip - I wanted to stay longer, but my family decided we should keep travelling. The hosts were kind and enthusiastic and so proud of their beautiful establishment - with good reason. There are 3 beautiful onsen - my favourite was the 'rotemburo' (outdoor onsen), where we sat while snow brushed our eyelashes. There was a fragrant new wood onsen and another tiled onsen with a glass roof inside. These people went out of their way to look after us and they were darlings. They loved my children and my children will always remember this night. I look forward to staying there again next year. Yudanaka was a beautiful rustic village and as an added bonus, the ryokan was just a couple of minutes walk from the station. If you don't eat dinner at the ryokan, ask them about the great yakitori bar nearby. A five-star rating from us for this special place.
