Narusawa Lodge is located in quiet surroundings in the much visited town of Nikko.
Every year, thousands of visitors come to the area to see the World heritage architectures. They are always highly impressed with the nature, shrines, temples and friendly atmosphere of the region.
Nikko region is registered as World Cultural Heritage since December 1999.
Our lodge allows you to enjoy typical Japanese accommodation in a tatami room with a futon bed.
The check-in time after 15:00,
check-out until 10:00.
You can leaeve your luggage before going out for a sightseeing even before check-in time.

it is a family run ryokan style hotel. the room was clean and very spacious. toilet and shower is on the floor. dining room and hot water kettle with microwave. the owner, Yuji san, is very very helpful, offers pick up from the station ( it is a bit of a walk uphill) and also drove me to terrific onsen nearby. 25 min walk to famous niko toshogu shrine. in short, a very pleasant place to stay.

Yuji made everything very easy for us; we had no problems and because he speaks in English, communication wasnt an issue.

An excellent place to stay while visiting Nikko. Located within walking distance from the station....about 15 minutes.
The accommodations are simple, but very clean and comfortable. I was there at the end of February and there were plenty of blankets to keep me warm! There is a large common room with a computer, stereo, and lots of different board games. We had breakfast for an additional 500 JPY....about $5 USD.
The best part of Narusawa Lodge is the owner Yuji-san! He is such a warm and genuinely friendly guy. He takes a personal interest in his guests and wants to ensure that the have the best experience in Nikko. His English is excellent and he can direct you to anything you'd like to see in town.
Yuji drove us to a local onsen, picked us up an hour later and drove us into town for dinner. He even suggested some places and went in to make sure that we were happy with the food! You don't get personal service like this in Tokyo.
I will definitely go back to Nausawa Lodge again, and I will recommend it to everyone I know who is travelling to Nikko!

very friendly and quiet place. we spend 3 nights in a big and confertable room with tv , A C and heater (5 futons each in japanes style). the baltimore bar is nice too with good ambiance and a big surprise that i won't tell...
the owner Yuji has very good hospitality and friendly. he makes very good private tour around nikko for good price (low season). he can also pick you up from the station whish is very usefull.
i ll we come back any time without doubt and i recomand this place to everyone .

Very attractive price for a very pleasant place. Large rooms, good food. Great atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly host. I highly recommend this place.

Narasawa lodge was a little wedge of piece in our incredibly busy schedule in Japan. After waking up before dawn in Kyoto and Shinkansening it up to Nikko we were exhausted and then proceeded to hike from the lodge to the shrines and bridge. When we got back we were greeted by the very warm and endearingly eccentric Yuji.
We hadn't booked dinner beforehand but he popped down to the shops and cooked up a storm for us which we were really appreciate of. We were in a large tatami mat room with ridiculously warm and comfortable beds. Also, saki and a few rounds of roulette before a early night. The next morning Yuji drove us down to the convenience store and to the train station which was really nice even though it was only a short 10 min walk. All in all, a very good stay!

I was very happy with this lodge. Personal touch, yet all creature comforts. I would immediately go again. Incidentially, we forgot a pair of shoes, and the hosts immediately sent it after us --> very nice place.

Overall great for the price. Didn't include meals. the owner speaks a little english and has a good sense of humour. The train station is about 10 minute walk, from the station to Narusawa is up hill about half the way, i caught a cab from the station as i was already exhausted from the days activities, took about 4 minutes and was 750 yen. There is free tea and coffee, just what i needed. The next morning i gathered my things, bid farewell and marched down to the station, an easy walk, left my gear in a locker and caught the bus to the shrines. I would definitely stay there again, was made feel welcome.
