A family-run hotel surrounded by woods, directly at the foot of mountains, with a beautiful terrace facing the lake right at the front door invites you for a lovely time.

Hotel Reifenstein was build from 1974 - 1978. Till 1990 it was known as "house of workers", a special holiday resort with food and beverage.

1993 Jitka and Matthias Bause acquired the hotel Reifenstein.

From 1994 to 2001 the whole house was completely renovated.

In the year of 2008 all rooms were renovated and modernized again.

The next renovations starts in 2009 with a new wellness area, swimming pool, sauna with additional garden, physic therapy, cosmetic and catering.

29 double rooms, 12 singles, two suites and ten Finnish lodges are comfortably kitted out to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

By car

Come off the A7 autobahn and onto the A38, then get onto the B247 heading towards Dingelstädt. Leave the B247 to travel to Birkungen and just travel through Birkungen.
