Hotel Uvala is a unique work designed by Dinko Kovacic, an architect from Split and is a mixture of modern, simple design and traditional temperamental Mediterranean surroundings. The culture and spirit of wellness and healthy living are omnipresent in the hotel, from exotic scents of the interior to macrobiotic restaurant menus.

Prize of Dubrovnik Tourist Board

In 2004 Hotel Uvala received an acknowledgment from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board for excellent results and winning 2nd place in the category of best designed hotel landscapes in event "I love Croatia – Choosing the prettiest garden of 2004".

ISO 22000:2005 Certificate

On August 30, 2006 Hotel Uvala was the second hotel in Croatia to be awarded the certificate ISO 22000:2005. This certificate is emitted by Bureau Veritas Quality which specifies "requirements for a food safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption" (ISO, 2007).

As to provide our guests with delicious, but more importantly safe meals, we are proud to be one of the first hotels awarded this certificate and we are continuously dedicated in keeping these high standards in food safety management, but also throughout all departments, in order to satisfy our guests and keep them coming back again and again.

Our hotel is located in the Lapad bay, about 10 minutes by car from the old centre of Dubrovnik city.

Whether you're coming by plane, ship or bus, make a prior reservation for our hotel shuttle or taxi that will pick you up at the place of your arrival and don't worry about road directions, but instead enjoy the landscape along your way to hotel.

By plane

Buses follow the flight plan of Croatia Airlines and run from the Cilipi airport to Pile (25km) where you can continue by taxi or bus line No. 4.

By ship

Ships dock in Dubrovnik's Gruž harbour from where buses No. 1A, 1B and 8 for Pile are available. When you arrive to Pile you can take a taxi or bus No. 4.

By car

At the entrance to Dubrovnik just follow the directions to Lapad bay where you will find signposts to hotels of the Maestral group.

By bus

From the bus station to Pile you get by buses No. 1A, 1B, 2, 3, 6, 8 and 9. Once in Pile you can take a taxi or bus No. 4.
