Traveller's Tree is located right in the heart of infamous Galle Fort. Galle Fort is one of the best living archeological monument in the world and recognized by the UNESCO as a world heritage site. Traveller's Tree is a old dutch merchant house originally built in the 18th century and went through different changes in the building time to time. Traveller's tree is the new concept of BB in the Galle Fort, managed by SHOBA, the infamous handcraft people in the Fort of Galle.

Traveller's Tree is located one of the the best neighborhoods in the Galle Fort. It has 10 bed rooms all together separated by an upstairs chile-out. Our fine dining area offers various Western and local cousins at an affordable price. Two internal courtyards add privacy for the rooms as well as relaxation. At TT we offers range of services to our guests which include special travel packages, guest free WiFi internet service, pick up and drop service to close by beach destinations and shopping mall. SHOBA one of the Galle Fort renowned shopping space for local handy crafts is within the premises.

We have,

One master suite for two persons with attached bath and toilet. This is very spacious room which resembles the old colonial style.

The next master suite has an extra sleeping area which can easily accommodate up to 4 persons. This is an ideal room for a family stay.

We have one large room in the "old upstairs" with wooden floor. This is also an ideal space for a family of 5 or more. It has a small kitchen style space to make your coffee or tea and even to do a small meal.

2nd wing has 6 rooms, 3 rooms each in the upstairs and down satires. All has attached baths and toilets. All the rooms has front veranda which expose to the 2nd courtyard.

We have an apartment facility in the down stare in the 2 nd wing with 3 separate rooms with attached bath and toilet, kitchen with separate entrance.

We provide meals for the room guests as per request. Room rates are NOT with the breakfast. All the rooms are provided with bed linen, towels and basic needs.

By Car

Take the entrance in the front of Galle Stadium and drive straight (Light House street). Pass the first junction (where the Bank of Ceylon) and then you will come to 2nd 4 way junction where the Southlands College is situated. Pass this junction and come along the light house street where you reach the 4-way junction and turn left (the most widest internal road in the Galle-Fort). In fact you are turning to the part of Pedlers Street which leads to the Ramparts.

From Airport

We do pick up and drops to the airport at the cost of 130 USD both ways and 85 USD for the pick ups with all the costs. If you want to take the highway from the airport you have to pay additional 4 USD.

Get information from the front desk about our shuttle operations which you can get a drop or pick up for the cost of 30 USD per person on shared basis. This journey will take at least 3.5 to 4 hrs in the normal route and in the highway it will be 3 hrs depend on the time of traveling.

By train

Drop a short note to us to pick up you at the train station or bus station free of charge. If you take a Tuk Tuk it will be 150 Rs.
