jonathanda Good place, right next to the river. For some this might be a disturbance, as it makes a lot of noise. We quite liked the sound of it, coming from Cusco where the noisy traffic woke us up in the morning. Early breakfast is available if you want to go to Machu Picchu in the morning. Recommended.
ben.p.chou They have hot showers!! The location is also good, close to the train station (5 min walk). Breakfast is served at 430 to get you ready for Machu Picchu. Overall no complaints whatsoever. But, they sure didn't have the towel swans that you see on the pictures :(

Louski Nice clean hostal with comfortable beds and warm (although a bit temperamental) showers. Not great for a sleep-in though, as the open area between the floors means sound travels from the common area through-out the hostal. If you are getting up early to see Macchu Picchu then this isn't a problem - but for us we wanted to sleep in AFTER the Inca Trail, but the noise started at ~5am with people having breakfast and leaving to go to Macchu Picchu. But overall nice place, has a rooftop bar and they can also do your laundry!
wderosario Maria was a delightful proprietor. The price is cheaper than many in Aguas Calientes but there is absolutely no drop off in service. If I wanted something, Maria was there to take care of it. I also had no trouble checking out one day earlier than I had scheduled. I highly recommend this place.
