jonathanda Fairly expensive, but amazing views of the ruins, and the hostel is located in a quiet street. Worth the extra money.
gulliver88 our stay was ok. the staff were nice, bfast was nothing special. the staff open the main door..so you hear bell ringing every time. would be nice if they change the lock of the main door ang provide every guest with a key.
jlm1985 Stayed there as a quick choice back in January. Left with more than I expected. ^ _~*the hike up Pinkyulluna is worth the fantastic view of Ollantay. And the colorful textiles on the locals in early January is a special sight to see. Reyes Festival can be experienced if you are there early January. Bullfighting, a lovely tradition, but within my eyes has a sad ending ..also takes places early January. Moray Inca's crop circles is perfectly green and the weather is not too cold. Calix, gracias for showing me all these attractions and more. The fortress is not the only sight to see in this small town. Claix can tell you about other ruins that sit on the edge of town near the train tracks. I enjoyed Ollantay's charm so much I had more of it recently. I have to admit the greens of summer make the town feel brighter, but still had beautiful natural sights to see during winter like the wild calla lilies...and the beautiful purple earring flowers. Anyone looking to treat their significant other to a special surprise ask Calix about these flowers and he will gladly share their exact where abouts. It's warm in the sunshine during the winter, but freezing when the sun leaves and the moon is out. Be sure to buy yourself a traditional Peruvian style hat to keep warm. Maras Salt Fields near by is a must see. And in the winter filling your tummy with Chirimoya will make you jump for joy!:) VISIT FB PAGE FOR PHOTOS AND MORE TRAVELING TIPS https://www.facebook.com/sumacchaska.hostel
stragis i stayed there in octobre 2013 with my boyfriend for a while and Elder (owner) showed us so many treks, about that tourists don't know, and also made a san pedro (cactus) trip, like Carlos Castaneda did. We were excited. Very cozy, relaxing place. If you want to stay in Ollanta, i recommend this lodge.
