-Inexpensive (as in great value for the dollar)
-Great service (very friendly/helpful people working at the counter)
-Convenient location (very close bus stop and in a very active area)
-Loud at night (be prepared for 80's hits and black eyed peas booming below you all night)
-Tall showers
Very nice, helpful staff; exceptionally clean; quite a central location though one might not want to be situatuated over Rembrandt Square, which is very, very noisy. For the most part, the noise did not bother us, but for many it would. Breakfast was quite adequate and served in the bar next door. I was impressed that they reduced the price--without being asked-- because a room with a bathroom was not available as booked.
Believe the description where it states that the rooms are small!

Overall was a pleasant 2-night stay, went as a couple, though located at a busy square, the noise was reasonable and didn't bother us (our room faced the square directly). A couple of points though - we booked a double bed ensuite room but it turned out that they had to give us twin bed shared bathroom because of "unforeseen maintenance work". I feel they could have informed us before we arrived, which they didn't. But the room turned out fine too - so it's not a major complaint. Also, we were used to leaving our belongings around (by that I mean little things like water bottles/plastic bags that we still need) in hostels (this is the 5th one we were staying during our euro-trip) but this time the cleaning staff cleared all of it - which got us a bit annoyed as we still needed to use them (e.g. plastic bags to wrap around shoes to keep in luggages), though they don't cost us anything but convenience. Other than that, it was pleasant (comfortable, nice decor, kettle & free instant coffee). Didn't seem very happening though if you're looking for a hostel where you get to hang out with other guests.

Very nice location. Nice life is just steps away. Toilet is superb clean. Room is ok. Size is enough for the night sleep. Stairs is extremely steep but all old buildings in Amsterdam are the same. Service? Practicaly none. After u got ur key, u r on ur own.

this hotel had nice rooms and good location but the rooms above the smokey cafe which is basically a night club are very noisy until the early hours of the morning - the rooms in the main hotel are much better (they moved us there after we complained about not being able to sleep)

The receptionist was very helpful and knowledgable.
Maybe the website should mention that reception is on the 1st floor.
If a guest arrives with heavy luggage, they could perhaps assist in the future.

the rembrandt square hotel is are really nice place to stay. the room was clean and had engouh space for everything. the staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was alright, not special but ok. Location is great. you are directly on the city centre, we didnt use any public transport because you get around by foot.
the only not so good thing is the club next door. its really noisy. but at the rezeption you get earplugs. so it was not to bad.
You will have a nice stay!

Great location, nice staff, clean rooms but not so cheap actually.... but it's Amsterdam, what is cheap anyway? And... the hotel is located on a coffeeshop and a cafe-bar. So it's a bit loud in the nighttime. Still it's not bad, you can get drunk and just go up and sleep... recommended!

Great location for those who are planning to enjoy Amsterdam on their feet (we didn't need to take any bus/tram for the whole of our stay).
We paid an average of €34 per person per night, and I must say that price was absolutely reasonable and we couldn't ask for more.I must say that the rooms (not to mention the bathrooms - there were 2 of them every five rooms, but this hasn't been a problem at all since it rarely happened that I had to wait, in any case not more than a few minutes) were rather small, but we managed to find enough space on the flor for our 2 baggages.. (honestly, I don't think you are going to spend much of your time in the hotel once you are in Amsterdam). They were all clean and pretty decent.
The hotel does also provide free wi-fi connection (though it might happen that the signal is not very strong in some rooms) which is not bad at all.
What else? Surely you should go there if you plan to have fun (the Escape disco club - possibly the most famous in Amsterdam - is just on the other side of Rembrandtplein) but remeber: if you are not accustomed to some noise while sleeping bring the earplugs!
