HM Hostel is located at the heart of the city, next to the famous Arbat street and only a few minutes walk from the Kremlin, Red Square and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. We are located very close to two metro stations, making all of Moscow accessible to you.
The Arbat area has many bars and restaurants, yet more often than not guests like to stay and have a drink at the hostel together because of its warm and friendly atmosphere. Our friendly English, French, Dutch, Hungarian and of course Russian speaking staff are at the hostel 24/7 to make your stay enjoyable, provide assistance if needed and keep the hostel clean and proper at all times.
Our accommodations consist of several dorms among which a men only and a women only. We have a beautiful bathroom and our well equipped kitchen is a great alternative to going to the (not so cheap) restaurants in Moscow. We also offer free Wi-Fi and have a computer in our
cozy common room.
The prices of accommodations are season bound, but always affordable especially for Moscow standards. Members of the Youth Hostels Association of Russia (YHAR) and Hostelling International (HI) receive a € 2,- discount per night.
Obtaining an invitation to visit Russia has proven to be problematic for travelers. To help and make this as easy as possible for our guests, we offer Visa invitation support.

I'm not one to give credit where it's not due. I have never seen a hostel so clean and staff so friendly!
The Hostel itself is situated on a road parallel to the main touristy street, which was always handy if you were lost or directing a taxi. The metro station is at the intersection of 4 lines and therefore probably the most useful. It takes 5 mins to walk to a supermarket, where i got all i needed, and 10-15 mins down a single road to get to the front door of the Kremlin. All in all, the location of the hostel is second to none!
The facilities were great too. The bathrooms were very impressive and completely unexpected, as was the living room and the modern kitchen. The rooms were as expected (but by no means bad). There were 2 computers available for use and free wifi. There was always someone present on reception 24hrs a day, which was a nice feature, as I came from the airport pretty late.
The only thing with this hostel is that you have to pay for these features. However, the price is justified by how impressive this hostel is!
I would totally recommend this place to anyone staying in Moscow, I literally had the best week of my life there and made loads of friends, not only with the other travellers, but also the staff! Keep up the good work HM, see you next time I'm in Moscow!
