Paganakan Dii (The Family in indigenous Kadazan-Dusun tongue) the tropical retreat is designed as a contemporary interpretation of traditional stilts houses; with innovative use of natural and recycled materials, offering the most surprising of details in its construction and breathtaking views of lush greenery from every angle.

Communal pavilion serves as the restaurant offering local cuisine. Internet and Wi-Fi are available at the communal pavilion. A multi-purpose hall for private functions, meetings and future massage sessions enclosed in glass panels offers an amazing panoramic view of surrounding parkland and forest reserve.

Air-conditioned rooms, ensuite, open air bathrooms, duvet sheets. Walls open to the forest. Transfers are available to Sepilok, Sandakan town and other local sites.

Once you reach the Sepilok, Mile 14 roundabout, with the statue of an Orang Utan sitting on a tree (and rhino nearby), look out for the Paganakan Dii wooden signpost which has a Hornbill sitting on top of it. Our retreat is located 2km from the main road on the same side as the signpost.
