Welcome to Mingtown Y35 Youth Hostel. We are located in the very centre of Shanghai. You can easily reach any sight seeing spot from our hostel.
Please inform us your new arrival time by phone if you arrive later than the scheduled time on your booking, (we will hold your booking till 6pm if you do not note your arrival time) or else your booking would be cancelled automatically.
Our working time is 7:00Am-1:00 (morning)
The hostel holds 20 standard rooms and over 30 bunk beds. On-site facilities include a full service restaurant, bar, self-service laundry, common area internet terminals, as well as a business centre. All staff members speak moderate English, and are familiar with tourism points of interest and travel information. The hostel is also pleased to help guests with making travel arrangements and reservations.

We provide different kinds of accommodations to meet the needs of every customer, such as standard double/double rooms, and a variety of dorm rooms, all at a very fair price. You can find our prices.
We also offer discounts to guests with membership cards. All rooms are equipped with security key card access, hot/cold air conditioning, and wi-fi signal in the room. Our dorm rooms are equipped with security lockers, individual lights, and power outlets. We offer free short-term luggage storage.
Most of the windows in the rooms open towards the lobby.

Everything is fine, everybody is kind, they serve good coffee, but there was actually no internet.

Even the local complain to me that they cann't put up in this place . Is more like a prison cell. The hotel name is not put up at the main door. The kid operator told me that they are still waiting for approval !! Never , never come to this prison hotel

Nice architecture, great location, good coffee! I love the pending lamps in the staircase! Only a laundry service was missing that is really hard to find in China! And I was missing a real muesli (that means a good bowl of CEREALS, some fruits and yoghurt). Kitchen facilities to prepare own food could be a little more elaborated but this seems not to be very common in chinese hostels...
Room Nr. 306 is the nicest-great bathroom, what a view!Thanks for everything!

When we stayed (October 2009), there were a few problems with our room; leaking ceiling, no air conditioning (when the website said this was included), bathroom door locked itself when you shut it from the outside. We are also fairly sure we saw a rodant in the bar area! However, the staff were really, really friendly and helpful and the sheets were clean, bed comfortable etc. and I believe the hostel is due to be done up so it is worth looking at. The location is pretty good too and there is a washing machine on site which is very handy if you're traveling like us!

I stayed a full two weeks around new year. I had a excellent stay I believe that the price-quality is more than ok. It is very centrally located and all the hot spots are near by...I would go back there, and will...
