Duda is one of the most charming Hostel Salvador: Simple, comfortable and cozy and close to all the major sights.

Duda Hostel has a modern and functional structure, with the following facilities:

-bilingual reception

-lounge with TV

-internet Wi-Fi

-fully equipped kitchen

-dining room

-garden

-laundry

Breakfast and Bed linen included

Towels and padlocks are not included but can be rented.

The hostel offers dorms for 6 and 8 people with bunk beds, orthopedic mattresses, bed linen included, individual lockers, fan or air conditioner, ensuite or shared bathroom.

You can choose a male or female dorms.

All bathroms have hot water showers.

Bookings for NYE and Carnival:

In order to guarantee your reservation, beside the 10% deposit made on Hostelworld.com you will need to pay 50% in advance in order to secure your booking for those periods. We will contact you to send you the money transfer details.

According to the previous reviews, the Duda-Hostel is quite a good place to stay in Salvador and because of those reviews I booked some nights in the Hostel. Unfortunately I can't say anything good about the Hostel besides the fact of the very good and pretty location. The rooms and the beds are alright. Let's say it could have been worse. The bathroom was never cleaned during my stay. Everyone can imagine how a bathroom looks like when 10 people share it. For the so called "breakfast" the owner serves old washrags calling it bread that goes together with some sort of honey and a black mud called coffee. All in all the name should change into "crap-fast" because that is exactly what you will do after eating there in the morning. Apart from that, the owner seems to have an alcohol problem. His mood changes rapidly from a nice and helpful guy into a rude asshole.
