This Christian Youth Hostel De Betteld is located in the heart of the beautiful Dutch country side. If you are looking for bustling nightlife, noisy street traffic, weird drugged out people, don’t come here. But if you are looking for a good night sleep in a nice room, delicious home cooked meals, bikes which you can rent, wireless internet and lots of Dutch nature, then you came to the right place. We accept cash payments only.

Also it’s very easy to see and feel the real Holland here. Great friendly local people, really interesting bike paths (all flat!) or walking or for touring this part of The Netherlands. A lot of castles can be found in this area. In the surroundings you find all kind of rural villages, full of character and pretty houses. And don’t forget, if you make it to De Betteld, you are really off the beaten path! But you found yourself a great place to relax and get away from the hustle of the big cities.

During the summer holiday a lot of Christian Dutch youngsters come to our youth hostel to celebrate their holiday here. In this period of time there are great youth nights, lots of music and praise for God. Regularly Dutch and international Christian singers are performing on our park. De Betteld is a well known Dutch meeting place for Christians of all kind of congregations. Besides the youth hostel there is a camping lot, a conference center with a big professional hall where the concerts are being given and cottages of different sizes people can rent.

We have 4 rooms for gentlemen which include 5 beds and 1 room with 6 beds. We have 6 rooms for ladies with 6 beds in them. There's a shower, wash basin and a toilet in every room. You can rent towels and sheets. A deposit of Euro 25.00 is required for the key. We accept cash payments only.

From the train station of Amsterdam Schiphol, a train ticket to Doetinchem is around € 19,90. It will take you about 2 hours to get to Doetinchem. In Doetinchem you can call the 'Regiotaxi'. You have to reserve a taxi one hour ahead (or more if that's more convenient for you). The ride costs about € 8,75 per person. The taxi driver will ask you for the postal code and number for the address of our hostel. This is 7021 HR, Aaltenseweg 11 in Zelhem.
