Who can say they have stayed in a castle? Well, YOU can after you stay here. Schochwitz is not just any castle, it is a Healing Castle, built in the 12th Century and surrounded by magnificent gardens. Schochwitz Castle is located 20 km from Halle and 30 km from Leipzig in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt in Germany.

Schochwitz Castle has recently been renovated with the rooms displaying a chic antique style, with four-poster beds, rich carpets and chandeliers. The price includes breakfast, free wifi and free private parking as well as access to a fully equipped kitchen, mini cinema, library, billiard room, luggage storage, meditation room and garden terrace.

A vegetarian buffet breakfast is served daily in Schochwitz Castle's elegant dining room overlooking the glorious countryside. You can check in between the hours of 2 and 9pm and check out is between 10 and 11am. Please note we only accept cash payment.

If staying at such a remarkable castle is not enough it is surrounded by the incredible Saxon countryside which allows guess to go for scenic hikes and bike rides. Close by, only 12km is Lake Süßer which offers sailing opportunities and at Saunadom Seeburg you can relax in the sauna or go for a swim.

Once at Halle-Saale train station simply catch bus 309 towards Schochwitz. The final bus stop is right outside the castle, simply cross the road and you will be standing in front of this amazing castle. Please ring the bell and then you will be kindly greeted by our friendly staff.
