Clearly understanding the needs and wishes of tourists, the hostel is an impressive complex. Large spotless rooms and a relaxing swimming pool give visitors every chance of recuperating in comfort before and after visiting the waterfalls.

The family atmosphere the hostel creates is none better shown than by its enormous homemade breakfast and highly helpful information from reception. Here you can book nearly any excursion you wish to in the area.

The hostel is ideally located in a secure and quiet part of town at only 15 minutes walk from the centre and on the way to the falls and Argentine border.

Breakfast here is a specialty with a great range of homemade cakes and breads alongside toasted sandwiches, fresh fruits, cheese, ham, spreads, tea, coffee and juices. This is served from 7 until 10 every day and check out is at 12. Rooms are all meticulously cleaned daily and each have large private bathrooms, cable tv, hair dryer, air conditioning and mini-bars. The swimming pool area has a number of tables and chairs and weight-lifting facilities.

There is free high-speed internet available on two modern computers in the comfortable reception area where there is a tv with dvd player, sofas and a good collection of magazines and guidebooks. Laundry costs R$10 per kilo and a number of meals, snacks and drinks are available. Visa and Masterd Card are accepted and the hostel has a fax machine. Aside from that, Márcio and family can help organize a great number of trips to the falls, in speedboats, to Argentine ruins and to the Itaipu dam.

From the bus station a taxi should cost under R$15, or take a bus to the city centre and then get on any bus heading to Argentina or the falls on the Brazilian side. Get off the bus 3 blocks after turning onto Avenida Cataratas and turn right onto Rua Irian Kalichewski. Pousada Caroline is on the right.
