The Jellyfish Hostel is a cosy hostel located very centrally in the middle of the historical Old Town of Rostock.

The Jellyfish Hostel is very centrally located 2 min from New Market and close to main station (5 min by tram, 10 min by foot) in the old town of Rostock.

It is situated in a beautiful listed building which is more than hundred years old. The house has been carefully restored after the reunification without destroying its unique character. Now you find modern bathrooms on each floor, an impressive common room for meeting people and a kitchen for cooking or just to keep your drinks cool.

The reception is open from 8.00am to 11.00pm (a later check-in can be arranged). The new young team consists of travelers themselves, so they will be receptive to listening to all of the problems a guest can have and will probably find a solution.

The Jellyfish Hostel offers a large variety of different room types: There are beds in spacious dormitories with 8 beds, cozy 4 beds and even 'luxury' 4 bed dormitories with ensuite facilities and single beds (perfect also for families!). Privates are available as well, you can choose between single rooms, double rooms and doubles with ensuite facilities.

To stay well informed and connected guests can have free access to the internet either with a PC or by wi-fi.

If you step out of the hostel you can see the medievil 'Steintor' and the gorgeous 'Ständehaus'. The main tram stops 'Steintor' and 'Neuer Markt' are round the corner to reach everything easily, also the beautiful beach in Warnemünde (20 min). The shopping street 'Kröpeliner Straße' is starting directly at the New Market. If you turn left it is just a short walk to the harbor. The Jellyfish Hostel is the ideal starting point to explore Rostock and the perfect place to relax afterwards!

The hostel charges always 2.50€ for bed linen once per stay.

The breakfast is not included and the hostel charges 4.00€ per person and day extra.

From main station:

- 5 minutes by tram (leaves in the basement of station). Take line 1, 2, 4, 5 or 6 up to station 'Steintor' (two stations in total).or walk down Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße, Richard-Wagner-Straße, cross August-Bebel-Straße, walk into Steinstraße

- Turn first street right (Beginenberg 25) behind the monumental gate (Steintor)

By car:

A19 Berlin-Rostock, Exit no 7 'Rostock Süd', turn right to Zentrum (Centre), drive straight on for some kilometers, turn right when you see 'Creditreform' on the left hand side into Steinstraße, straight on left of the monumental gate (Steintor), turn right at the market into Große Wasserstraße, turn right after you could see the red/white Apotheke (Pharmacy) on the right side into Beginenberg, after 50 meters you are in front of Jellyfish Hostel

A20 Lübeck-Rostock, change to A19 direction Rostock at Kreuz (cross) Rostock, then follow description above

If you get lost within the city follow the directions for the hotels Steigenberger 'Sonne' or 'Kleine Sonne'. They are at the crossing Steinstraße/Große Wasserstraße very close to Jellyfish Hostel
