Hostal Casa Richard offers a centric accommodation plus the comfort and facilities the travelers may need during their visit to Remedios City and the northern keys of Cuba. Recently renovated, the hostel offers 4 acclimatized en suite rooms, a large patio, solarium and terrace.

Services of breakfast and dinner are offered paying special attention to freshness and quality of the food. We specialized in seafood as being our city so close to fishermen area. Vegetarians are also welcome to enjoy our menus full of fruits and vegetables. Richard, the host, is a professional musician, so do not miss the change to ask for and enjoy live traditional Cuban music while sipping a Mojito or enjoying a fabulous seafood dinner.

Recently renovated, our guests have many common areas and open air spaces to relax and enjoy Cuban weather. We have a living room with TV-DVD-cd player, a dining room, a large furnished patio, a terrace and a balcony.

For those who travel by car we have garage service.

There is no curfew or lock out.

The hostel has two entrances, to give the option to those who desire a more private and independent location but yet enjoying the rest of the hostel if wanted.

Rooms descriptions:

One room has a double bed plus a single bed. The second room has two double beds, which makes us a fine option for friends or family searching for a twin or triple rooms.

Both rooms have air conditioning, windows, fan and private bath with hot and cold water.

Both rooms had access to a private dining room equipped with a refrigerator and tables in case of self-catering.

The prices for the rooms are set and are the same for 1 or 2 persons. Extras beds are charge 6 CUC per person. This should be requested by email otherwise we only guaranty the double room.

For some years, taxi rates from Havana’s airport into the city have been standardized based on what part of the city you’re going to, and has nothing to do with the particular taxi company. Nor does the meter come on.

Upon exiting the arrivals building, you will most likely see a long line of taxis of all shapes and sizes and colours, plus an individual at the head of the line with a clip board. This individual can answer your transport questions, often with very Basic English, inform you of the rates, plus call the next taxi in line for transport into the city. You should also consider tipping the taxi driver; a general guide is 10-15% of the fare, depending on the service you’ve been offered.
