My 9 year old son and I stayed here for the MotoGP in Estoril and had a fantastic time. The house is ideally located 10 mins walk from the town centre and within easy reach of Sintra and Lisbon (plus the airport) by public transport which is relatively cheap to get around, even if the buses dont stick to the timetable that closely.
Tana is a most generous host, both in terms of her time and local knowledge but also a mine of historical Portugese information which added to our stay. She makes time for everyone which we all appreciated, seeing the local hotspots and going off the beaten track- something you wouldnt manage in a hotel. I wish I had discovered Portugal earlier! It has a bit of everything necessary to relax and the beaches are very clean with clear water, Sintra is stunning and Lisbon very impressive also. We will be back in August and will stay here again.
The house is quite a traditional property, but clean, comfy bed and communal areas where we spent a lot of time with other guests- who also added to our stay. We made friends here. I had misgivings about sharing bathrooms but to be honest this wasnt an issue, everyone was very considerate of each other- maybe we were lucky with a great crowd staying with us!
