This newly opened, privately run hotel offers comfortable and affordable accommodation in the trendy Prenzlauer Berg district, just a short walk or tram ride from Alexanderplatz.

•privately run 2 star hotel in a typical, late 19th century Berlin building
•single, double and three bedded rooms with shower, WC, TV and WLAN
•apartments with kitchen for up to 4 people
•breakfast buffet from 7 am to 12 pm!
•reception 24 hours open
•free coffee, tea and hot chocolate for our guests until 10 pm

Hotel Alex is centrally situated in the fashionable district of Prenzlauer Berg, just
a stone's throw away from Alexanderplatz.
With the tram, train and bus its just a short trip from there to every part of the city,
and if you want to relax - the "Volkspark Friedrichshain" park, with its picturesque "Märchenbrunnen"(fairytale fountains), is just arround the corner.
Public transport connections: Tram M4, Bus 200 and TXL

First visit to Berlin so didnt know what to expect. Hotel was just perfect and great value.It was clean and very convieniently located just fifteen minutes walk or only a very short bus or tram journey from right outside the hotel, to the main tourist area. A couple of cafes and restaurants also adjacent to hotel which were ideal with cafe/shop on corner selling assortment of delicious pastries. Food in hotel was excellent with good choice in continental breakfast and you could help yourself to coffee all day. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful and we will use hotel again on our next visit to Berlin as we just loved this city.
