Overlooking the lake, with spectacular views of the Lakeland Mountains, YHA Windermere enjoys a quiet countryside location two miles from Windermere. This is an ideal base for walkers and families – children love the large wooded grounds with their trails and abundant wildlife. Excellent meals are served in our restaurant and bar with views of the lake. Picnic lunches available.

YHA Windermere is 2 miles outside Windermere in a countryside location. The hostel has been awarded the Responsible Tourism award in recognition of its commitment to the environment. Outdoor Activity breaks can be arranged for groups of 10 or more and recreational/educational packages are available to school and groups.

From W'mere follow A591 for 1ml north as far as Trouteck Bridge. After filling station take first turning right - hostel is well signed here and is 1ml up Bridge Lane.
