Hotel offers you a "Free access Card" to use bus and train in Geneva, during the whole stay in our property.
Moreover, our staff will be delighted to inform you about the best restaurants in downtown, which are all close to the hotel. There are two under parking at your disposal, close to the hotel. Rent could be done per hour or per day.
Our 55 rooms are quiet and equipped with soundproof windows, shower or bath; phone with direct outside line, fax and wireless system in the hotel, radio, cable and individual private safe at the front desk.

Getting there. The airport's train station is a 300-meters walk from the Arrivals and Departures floors. Trains link to destinations across Switzerland. All trains stop at the central Geneva- Cornavin station, 300 meters from the hotel. Departures are approximately every 20 minutes. Single tickets cost 5 CHF. Bus number 10 runs every 10 minutes to the city centre. Bus number 18 runs every 30 minutes to the United Nations building. Single tickets cost 2.20 CHF. Aero Ski Bus serves many French ski stations, and tickets can be purchased at the airport. Taxis wait in the terminal forecourt and cost about 35 CHF to central Geneva. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Rue De Berne, 300 meters from Lake Geneva. Geneva is served by an excellent tram and bus network. Tickets must be purchased in advance from vending machines, and validated prior to boarding. One-day passes are available, offering unlimited travel on trains, trams, buses and 'mouette' water taxis. Parking is available 50 meters from the hotel.

Fantastic breakfast with great service! I stayed in a room with only a sink, and had to use the shower and WC down the hall. The shower was good but could use some new caulk. The desk clerk was very helpful and provided a ticket for a free ride to the airport and anywhere else I might have wanted to go in Geneva. The hotel is very close to the train station so I could walk with my suitcase only a couple of blocks to reach it. I would recommend this hotel for the price.

If you can, please go to the City Hostel as this hotel is definitely not worth 90e to spend a night. Also, don't be distracted by the Moderne, as this definitely not the case. The only reason I can imagine for this name is that it was Moderne when it opened 40years ago.

Quite noisy at night due to great central location and rooms would certainly benefit from cooling but overall a good value for money hotel.

This is a very basic hostel. Although everything functioned well in this hostel and the accommodation is very central the decor was less than desirable. Even at a budget price the place requires a complete decoration makeover as it's dowdy and outdated for accommodation in a place like Geneva in the year 2010. Budget accommodation should still be modern and simple. It felt a bit more like a bedsit sort of place than a 'hotel'. That said it was clean and the staff were friendly. The free breakfast was also good. I'm not sure if it justifies the price per night. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you've explored more modern options. As in my case there was no other availability in the city at £65 a night. I would suggest the management invest in a refurbishment programme to bring the building up to date. If that happened then I would score it more highly for convenience and being central. The mattresses need replacing and proper pillows providing. Other than that it was good the rooms had a sink.
