The room was old style, as I could already see in the picture, but pleasant; matress and pillows were ok, for my standards; the kitchen was equipped with all you need for breakfast, the bathroom was spacious and spotless. Basically there are several flats which are for guests; the annoying part is that there is only one toilet, therefore you might end up queuing a while if there are several guests in your same flat with your same schedule, or worse, get little sleep because they would keep moving in the flat, locking doors, cracking the old wooden floor. If you go to Lisbon to party, then it is perfect, if you go with friends even better as you can share the flat; if you like your night's sleep, it depends on your luck. In any case, service was very friendly and attentive.

Really friendly welcome, perfect english but also gracious enough to allow me practice my halting protuguese. Very helpful host who was happy to walk me to a local restaurant, help me choose something i liked and order it for me (my protuguese not being up to the task)

Bright clean bedrooms, and an opportunity to choose the one i liked best. Shared bathroom large and spotlessly clean.
Good view onto the square where the church is, seems to be the favoured spot for homeless people to hang out but they kept to themselves and i didn't feel threatened coming back reasonably late at night, though i was careful not to attract attention either.
Breakfast is a help yourself affair, with decent coffee, bread, a toaster and the usual condiments. Kitchen is clean and all that you need.

If ever i go back to lisbon i will be booking in here.
