Welcome to Casa Abierta! Your stay here will be a more family-like experience than in a ordinary property. The guest-house is a crossroad for craftsmen, artists and backpackers in Granada.

To encourage your creativity we offer hammocks in the small garden and a chilled-out atmosphere. You can either stay in the dorms or in the private rooms, use the kitchen and enjoy the free internet access. Sheets and clean bathrooms are included in the price!

Everybody is welcome in Casa Abierta, just respect yourself and others to enjoy it the most!.

Surroundings:

Casa Abierta is only 1 block South (5 mins. walk) from the church \'La Virgen de Guadalupe\'. On the left side of this church starts the touristic Calle La Calzada, which is flanked by large colonial houses (casonas) and historical buildings and runs all the way up to the central park and the Cathedral.

At the end of Calle San Juan del Sur -only 2.5 blocks East of Casa Abierta- is the \'Centro Turstico de Granada\'. Located on the shore of Lake Cocibolca, at the South end of the malecn (esplanade), the tourist center is an area of restaurants, discos, and beaches. At the North end of the esplanade is the dock, where ferries to Ometepe and San Carlos leave twice a week.

How to get here:

Nicaragua use a unique system for addresses: to find us look for #517 in Calle San Juan del Sur, the cyan (blue) house half block East of the Victoria distributor. It\'s approximately 500m from \'El Parque Central\' and 300m from Lake Cocibolca.

If you arrive at the minibus station from Managua go right for half block until you reach the central park (\'El Parque\'). Turn right, pass in front of the \'Alcaldilla\' (town hall) and continue straight ahead in Calle El Caimito which eventually turns into Calle San Juan del Sur. The house will be on the left side, few houses after the Victoria beer distributor.

If you arrive in Granada by any other mean just reach \'El Parque\' and follow instructions above! If you carry heavy luggage or you\'re just a bit lazy (!) you can catch a cab that will drop you off for only C$ 10.00 (approx. US$ 0.50).
