Welcome to Karibu Hostel, where all profits go to support the NGO called Born to Learn. We created the hostel so the project can be self-sustainable, we couldn’t leave any longer with donations of friends!!

Karibu Hostel is located in a very secure area, only 5min walk from the city center of Moshi, Tanzania.

We offer accommodation to short and long term volunteers and also to sporadic backpackers. We have 2, 4 and 6 mixed bedrooms where you can get to know other people really close and a double room, for those who want more intimacy.

This fully furnished hostel with all facilities will make your stay comfortable. Hot water, mosquito nets, fridge, lockers, volleyball field… You can even watch movies or play some cards in our great living room combined with a spacious terrace, where you can chat with other volunteers for hours while looking at the moon and stars.

We also have a big ecologic veg garden where we get vegetables, and mango, lemon, pear, banana, avocado and papaya trees where we get fruits in season. Txip and Txop are the hens in charge of providing us healthy eggs everyday.

Best of all, is that by staying with us you will be supporting the community of newlands and its kids!!

We can help you also organize your safari (660$ 4 days total) and Kilimanjaro (1180$ Machame route + 200$ tips total) just ask us!!

Karibu Hostel has a double private room, a twin room, 2 double (private or twin) bungalows, a 4 bed-dorm and 3 dorms of 6 people, and can sleep a total of 30 people.

Bed sheets and linen are provided and all rooms come with security lockers, mosquito nets and bathrooms with 24hr hot showers.

Karibu Hostel is very friendly, very nice and clean, and confortable.

You will find us in the Arusha road, Starting from Arusha roundabout, head towards Arusha; first dirt road to the right is Nsilo Swai street, first compound on the right.

We are a big white house and another small one in front of the big and known hotel “Peace Park” and the petrol station. Checking us on Google maps could be helpful.
