We not enjoyed the stay at camping village le marze.
We arrived at 3 o clock, reception told us we had to wait 2 hours to get in our tent! A tent without fridge or coolbox, no plates, no glasses, only 4 beds. We went out for dinner at the restaurant on the campsite. I never had a meal that was so bad. Then we went to the market shop, a cardbox with cards was 1 euro. I took one without sticker with the price on it, we came to the cassa and the woman behind it said the cards were 8 euro 30!!! I said that I won't cards for 8 euros and she make a big issue of it. We could not just pay for the other things we had to buy and she was very unfriendly to us. What a shit staff they have there. Even the animation which also were the life guards at the beach were not looking out for any accidents or anything!
We hired bikes at the campsite. The rental point was under a gaseebo! The man who worked for the campsite looked very drunk and agressive. He could not open the lock for the bikes, so he got a hammer and was hammering on the lock. An other staff member came and saw what he was doing. They argued for at least 10 minutes while we were waiting for our bikes. Finally we had to buy 16 euros for childrenbikes with brakes which didn't work.

Many families with children (mostly Italian) and a nice atmosphere. Although our tent was very close to the party-area/ stage-area our kids had no problem to fall asleep happily (after the "candy-dance", of course - "bravi bimbi!!!") and from midnight it was absolutely quiet on the campsite. Don`t go there if you don`t like cicadas (dead or alive...) or the sound they make. The shop supplies everything you could think of and the pizzas in the pizzeria are quite nice. Toilets and showers are pretty clean and there is a seperate toilet-/shower-area for kids, which our daughters appreciated very much. The beach is just a short walk away (ca. 10 Minutes from the campsite-entrance) and great with kids. Very clean sandy beach and the water is flat for quite a distance. The campsite was a great "base-camp" for the day-trips we did - with kids you HAVE to go to Carapax (European Center for Conservation of Turtles and Storks) near Massa Marittima and to the Tarot-Garden of Niki de Saint-Phalle near Capalbio. Absolutely worth it!!!
