fanatastic service at reception. Lady i spoke with was very helpful.
Food was lovely. Accomodation was basic but functional.HOWEVER - a dog pound with animals barking next door all night = NO SLEEP.
I could not return!
When I decided to visit Rome and to book a place in Flaminio Village I search like a crazy person information about the bungalows. I didn't find something complete. So, now I try to remember details that can please somebody with the same questions like I had.
Location: It was a little bit hard for us to find the place. For those who've never been to Rome it's hard. Via Flaminia is a very long street. In order to find the place you should take any bus to Mancini. When you arrive to Mancini you have to take bus no 200 to the station Due Ponti. Than cross the street and you are there. You can ask the bus driver to tell you where is Due Ponti or you can look on the window, you will see the place.
Checking: the people at the reception are very nice, they give you any information that you ask. The only thing I didnt like is that they keep you the passport till you check out. This is a problem for the ones that travel only with their ID card.
The place: in 3 words: peace, quite and relaxation. The place is very large, has a lot of trees, flowers, olives trees. Nice alley. The bungalows were very cozy, clean and warm. They dont change your towels everyday, but for me this wasnt a big problem ('cause I use only my own towels
) ). We were a group of 5 persons, and 2 of us stayed in a double room and the rest of 3 in a triple one. The triple one had a fully equipped kitchen (starting with spoons, forks, cups, pans, pots, ladle, plates and finishing with the stove and the fridge). So...if you plan to stay for a long time and you cant afford eating in a restaurant everyday, you can cook. The double room had a fridge too.
The breakfast was very pour in my opinion. I usually dont eat breakfast, but when I chose to eat it I like to be rich in food. They had only some paistries (3 types of croissants and one type of roll, butter and jam) They also had juice, hot chocolate and coffe: american coffe, esspreso, cappucino and caffe latte. The coffe (except the american coffe) was great!
The restaurant: good food. They had a lot of pasta, if u like italian food. They had good grill. I recomand the mixed grill and I also recomand the lasagna.
The info point: nice people there. The red hair girl (i dont remember her name) was really cool and the one named Natalia helped us a lot!! You can buy tickets for public transportation fron the Info Point, you can book cars for the airport or you can use the internet. I found the wireless internet price expensive. 5 euros/hour.I think I'm done
)
I hope my review help someone.
Enjoy your holyday!

My review is mixed. I stayed in a 'positano' room, which are the cheapest/oldest accomodation at the site. These had all the facilities and space my family needed and were clean.
Unfortunately, the rooms had at some point been renovated and the result is a mess. the old bathrooms have been finished properly and in ours the shower went across the shower space and hung on the opposite wall because no real thought had gone into planning whether it would would fit on the wall above the taps. The windows did not lock and therfore the room was not secure and if someone wanted to get in when we were out, it would have been very easy for them to do so.
Although the room was clean when we arrived, no-one collected the rubbish for the 3 days we were there despite us putting it out everyday to be collected.
The mattress on the beds were the worst I have ever paid to sleep on. There was no padding whatsoever and therefore it felt like we were sleeping on the wire frame inside. We put the thick blankets under the sheets in order to give a little padding so we could sleep.
We booked our accommodation through travellers point and for some reason this meant that we did not get the inclusive buffet breakfast that everyone else got. I still do not know why this is and would like a response from ravellers point to explain why our booking did not include the buffet breakfast that is advertised on the Flamino Village website.
Access to the site is not great if you have to walk from the train station and have small children or anyone that is infirm. There are no real paths to speak of and you have to walk part of the way actually on main roads past parked cars.
All in all, obviously a nice place if you have your own transport and don't book a Positano room, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it and wish I could have my oney back.
Regards,
D. McMurray
