kimcas The Gin Dun Guesthouse in Edinburgh is surely one of the nicest I ever visited. Nice, clean rooms, easy access, tasty breakfasts and the best possible service. Very, very nice. As a late sleeper, the only thing I'd like to change was the early checkout time at 10:00. Still, I would book again and recommend the Gin Dun to everyone who plans to visit Edinburgh. Kimster
j28y560o As a hostel, this is excellent!!! It is clean, enough hot shower, friendly staff etc... But if you open the kitchen 24 hours, it would be great...
KellieBarnes Deservedly top-rated hostel. I have so much love for this place and hope to stay again. I stayed in the 12 bed dorm for a week. The beds are comfy, have individual lights and power points, and thankfully have been purpose-built by the owners not to rock when bunk buddies climb up! Don't let the stairwell put you off—they share with a couple of hostels on higher floors—the Baxter is cosy, well-maintained, and so very friendly. The staff are on hand all hours of the day, are absolutely lovely, and will even make you breakfast! There is a limited number of toilets but this is easily managed. The location is convenient— virtually over the road from Waverley station—and access is all hours with a handy key card system. They definitely won me over and the Baxter will always be my top choice in Edinburgh.
