karengodle A quite nice hostal, with very helpful and kind staff. They have an airport pickup service, 20 euros, a bit less than a taxi would have cost. (Due to a very delayed flight, I arrived after public transport had stopped running.) More centrally located than the "official" youth hostal in Bilbao, which can be more challenging to get to after 2200 hrs at night via public transport. Clean, comfortable, and quiet--would reccommend to others.
taltes1 In general it was a very nice hotel, surprisingly new and clean for being in the old neighborhood of Bilbao. Very secure with someone at the main door 24 hours a day. The only complaint was that they different offer free breakfast, which would have made the value for the price a bit better. They did, however, offer a breakfast for 5 euros extra. In general it's a very recommendable hotel.
donell The location wasn't that good, but it was okay, and it was easy to find reading the instructions. Other than that, good place to stay.
memesguss This hostel is nice but the position isn't good. You have to take the train or the bus to go to the center and the last train/bus is at 23,30 pm. The room were clean and cosy and the administrator was nice.
silviablancogon I like the place because it's comfortable and quiet. I think is a good price in spite of the street where it is. I think the night is not a safe place, but nevertheless worth. The employees are very nice, I would repeat!
gerald.finnerty Pension Arias is a simple, inexpensive Pension run by Isabel and Ruben Perez. It is well suited to those who want a base to explore the city on foot, which is important as Bilbao is definitely not a city that is easy to drive around. The Guggenheim museum is 20 minutes walk away, with the Casca Viejo slightly further. If you are interested in travelling to the Bilbao suburbs then this can be done on the metro. The nearest metro stop to the Pension is San Mimas, which can be reached in ten minutes. Isabel and her husband do not impose themselves on their guests, but we found them to be extremely helpful when asked for advice.
