katerobert A good place to stay - friendly people. Amazing shower, ensuite which was great, the walls were very thin though. A good base for the night if catching the ferry and very close to the town too.
mmvwalsh I stayed at the Cabo Mayor Hostal in Santander from 10 June for 3 nights. It is very conveniently located to the bus station and train station. My room was very clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The Cabo Mayor is good value. The only downside to my visit is that it rained continuously for the whole time I was there! I went on to Bilbao for a few days and it rained there too! So if you are heading to the North of Spain this Summer, bring the raingear. MW, Dublin
martin.war It was an ideal stay - very near the ferry port and town centre. It was surprisingly quiet, but then we were on the back of the building. Cleanliness was excellant. The owner doesn't speak English, but they were very friendly and coped very well with our very basic Spanish. Throughly recommended.
400tagefre Very clean, easy to go to the center of Santander, but not before 7 in the morning (if you have to take a bus you have to call) or got out late night. But some bars in El Astillero Quite near to the airport. Very friendly stuff/people!
