frankpanozzo I stayed in a single room with an ensuite. The room was more than adequate and bigger than most single rooms I have stayed in before. The ensuite is slightly small with very little room particularly around the toilet, I am 175cm and could barely fit, I doubt a bigger person would fit comfortably. The hostal is in a very good location and reception was always courteous and helpful.
ops912 I stayed in one of their "other" houses. It was very pleasant, quiet and clean, with a full kitchen to prepare meals, free breakfast and a nice balcony. About 3 - 5 minutes to the beach. Even though I speak some Spanish it was a big help that the staff spoke fluent English. I can recommend this place for short- and long-term travellers.
elslo516 Hello, We really enjoyed our 10 day stay at the El Mercat Studio Appartment in Valencia. The appartment is situated right in the historical centre of Valencia: Mercado Central (fresh food every day!), Cathedrals and Plazas are just 200m away. Just step out of the appartment and find yourself in the heart of historical buildings & its atmosphere ! The appartment is situated in a narrow street, 2 windows look out on the opposite roofs (ok for privacy). Downstairs there are 3 restaurants (cheap 3 course Spanish meals), so every evening you will hear locals & tourists enjoying their meal, chatting and laughing. Round 23u30 everything becomes quiet. Keep in mind that the appartment is on the 3d floor, which means you'll have to take 65 steps (!) to reach it (not that easy with luggage). The studio/appartment consists of 1 integrated room (kitchen/living room/2p bedroom) and a bathroom (douche/lavabo/toilet). We have some small remarks about facilities, which we will communicate to the owner of the appartment. Count 60 minutes to get to the beach: 15 min walk, along the Plaza de Ayuntamiento to the subway, then 30 min subway, and 300m and you're on a great beach. Subway system is of superb quality: only €6,40 for 10 trips and every 20 min you can hop on a subway. Regards Patricia & Michel Belgium

melly_1985 The cleanliness and location were great, we could easily walk to the old town from the b&b. However our room had no airconditioning, we were given a fan which had a timer so it turned off every two hours. My roommate and I were waking up every two hours to turn it back on as it was very hot throughout the night. Wifi was available for 2 euros/hr which I also found dissappointing, it was easier for me to turn on my international roaming for 2 pounds for the whole day. Although this is advertised as a b&b we were given tokens to claim our breakfast which wasnt in the building but approx 150m down the road in a cafe. The cafe had really good coffee though! After we checked out we were told there was no bag-minding facilities available but the friendly staff told us we could walk 500m down the road to the other b&b (owned by the same company) and store our luggage there, which was good!

ellis.juli Really central hostel. Common room was great - everyone really friendly. The hostel has a great atmosphere! Could have done with a mirror in our room though...
