Roof of Africa Hotel is a small, friendly hotel, situated within 15 minutes walking distance from the vibrant city center.

Roof of Africa Hotel/Conference & Travel Centre is eco-friendly. There are 6 Solar-heating systems that sort out unlimited hot-water supply for the entire hotel (remember this is sunny semi-desert Namibia we’re talking about here). Every precious drop of water is being recycled. So waste water becomes a duck-pond delight or plant-food frenzy.

The restaurant is heated/cooled with an under floor and ceiling cooling/heating system witch uses renewable energy sources. This is the first system of its kind in southern Africa.

We offer 27 well appointed rooms with direct access to the sub-tropical garden. All rooms are individually decorated and each has its own style and character designed to make guests feel the space and free spirit of Africa, feel perfectly at home.

All luxury rooms have been equipped with internet access. Wireless internet access is available in the lobby and all other rooms.

Windhoek’s famous restaurant, Joes’ Beer House, with its beer gardens and game cuisine, is only a few hundred meters away from the hotel and the city centre is only 15 minutes walking distance.

From city center:

There are 2 routes from the city:

1) Look out for Pupkewitz Toyota at Independence Avenue; turn into Nelson Mandela Avenue; past Joes’Beer House on your left and O’Portuga Restaurant on your right. Look for Roof of Africa on your left.

2) Enter Sam Nujoma Road from Independence on the way to International Airport. Turn left at the inter-junction of Nelson Mandela & Sam Nujoma. Pass BP Garage and look out for Roof of Africa on your right.
