Casa Mercy, Santa Clara, Kuba

Very central and clean house in Santa Clara. It is run by Omelio and Mercy, who speak several languages (English, Italian and French, etc) and are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

Two clean, spacious, A/C double rooms with mini-bar style fridges stocked with beers and soft drinks, excellent food, a homely atmosphere and a delightful, cozy terrace area. The charming hosts, who speak English, Italian and French, are incredibly helpful, full of local knowledge and will even arrange visitor packages for you.

Casa Mercy has two bright and clean rooms with private bath, upstairs, overlooking the street, private and separate from the rest of the house, double bed (good mattresses), and single available if needed air-conditioner, refrigerator and radio. Guests also have access to a lounge and a delightful roof terrace with view of the Che mausoleum in the distance, to have a good time.

Excellent home cooking, vegetarians and children catered for, cocktail menu and rum tasting, a homely atmosphere. Parking, taxis and tours arranged. Laundry services or hand washing area, book exchange, 220v for recharging phones. Payment in CUC, Euros, Pounds, etc. Internet access.

From Airport: 10 km to the West going across Malezas way.

By Bus: from the bus station take a taxi (2-3CUC) going along the Central Way and them 1 block from the Central Park is Casa Mercy.

By Car: Get the Colon Street to the parquet Vidal, 1 block before that take left across E. Machado street, at your left the number 4 out.

By Taxi- Please include Taxi fare: Tell your taxi driver “I want to go to E. Machado (or San Cristobal) Street #4 between Cuba and Colon” in Spanish “Quiero ir a la calle Eduardo Machado (San Cristóbal) #4 enter Cuba y Colón”. Taxi Fare from the Bus Station is 2-3cuc, from the Airport is 12-15 cuc.
