It is nestled a stones throw from the lively harbor area, in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, Iceland, yet in a quiet residential street. Most of Reykjaviks attractions are only minutes away, including Harpa concert hall and conference center and Hallgrmskirkja church. Reykjavk Downtown Hostel has been an Eco certified place to stay since 2010.
Facilities include free WiFi in all rooms and lounges, free computer access, book exchange, a coffee bar and a fully equipped kitchen and lounge. Our mostly organic breakfast buffet is a good start to the day. Free movie nights and music events are hosted in the lobby on a regular basis.
The hostel team is happy to give local advice on services and attractions and arrange your tours for free, including the Golden Circle, the Blue Lagoon, horseback riding, whale watching and all kinds of adventure tours. Opening hours: The hostel is open 24 hours, all year around. Check in is any time after 14:00. Early Check In can be requested. Check out is before 10:00.
