We have 5 different room types within our 1970's building where we retained all of the structures in making 41Berangan a cosy guesthouse. There are 11 rooms you can choose from:
- 1x Deluxe Quad Room with 2 double beds + window & balcony + TV & DVD player @RM200/night.
- 2x Superior Rooms with attached bathroom + window + TV & DVD player @ RM140/night
- 2x Courtyard / Deluxe Rooms with attached bathroom + window facing courtyard garden @ RM130/night
- 4x of Standard Double Rooms with attached bathroom @ RM100/night. Perfect cost-efficient choice esp. for light sleeper albeit windowless
- 2x Standard Twin Rooms with shared bathroom @ RM80/night. Great for light sleepers albeit windowless.
All rooms are fully air-conditioned and comes with fresh white linens and towels. Cleanliness are very important to us and at 41Berangan we always ensure all rooms, lounge area, bathrooms are in superb conditions.
We have 24-hour reception and secure door entrance. Courtyard garden is always available for you to have your free light bite of toasts and coffee or tea or just chilling out in the evening. 3 computers with broadband connection / Wi-Fi are available for you to check your e-mails, etc and this is FREE 24 hours. Hair dryer, iron + ironing board, hot water are available at anytime.

Although the street is somewhat seedy, this hostel has a great location. It's a five-minute walk to Bukit Bintang MRT and shopping malls with food courts, plenty of restaurants, grocery shops and a food street. The Golden Triangle and Petronas Towers are also within walking distance. The room was tiny, with a tiny window, but clean and the bed and bedding were good. There's no cupboard but there's a nifty arrangement with a metal grid attached to the wall on which you can hook clothing. Fell down a bit on the details - clock didn't work and there was a dirty mark along the wall behind the bed. Air con and hot water plentiful. Staff helpful, when pushed. Internet available free. If you are a light sleeper, take earplugs as the breakfast and movie-watching area is right outside the rooms. There's no curfew and you can let yourself in and out of the hostel whenever you like with a keycard. Breakfast basic - toast and coffee - but good. No laundry facilities.
I'm here right now, for the 1st and definitely last time, with my company group of six, booked 2 rooms, the quad 2 beds deluxe room (room no B10) and room B11.
We're here on vacation, and what we need from a hotel is basically a good night sleep & nice clean shower. 41Berangan provide none. The beds are infested with bugs!!! The water is no longer running since last night until now 8am.
Now we're looking for another hotel nearby for the next 2 nights, cause aside from this screw-up 41Berangan Hotel, we still love the culinary exploration at Alor street.

We stayed three nights in a superior room and where very satisfied by this place. It was our first time in KL, so we can't comment much on the prices, however the superior room seems to offer good value for money compared with other places on the internet. However it can be a bit on the nosy side at night.
The staff were uebernice with everything and helped us out a lot with planning the next stage of our trip.
The location is great if you're into shopping or nightlife, since both is nearby. It's also easy to reach from KL Sentral by Monorail and there's a lot of good chinese food nearby (the staff will point you in the right direction).
Would I stay again: Yes.
Would I recommend this pleace to my friends: Yes.

This is a small guest house extremely near to the main shopping areas, and night life. It is a 30 minutes walk to the center of town (Twin Towers).
The rooms are small - but clean. They are not en suite, so the showers and toilets are communal. However, this did not cause a problem.
There is a small sefl-service breakfast of coffee, tea and toast.
The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a safe at reception, where you can leave your valuables - free of charge.
If you are looking for budget accommodation in the heart of Kuala Lumpar, then this should serve your needs.
On the whole, we had a very pleasant stay there, and Iwould not hesitate to recommend it to my friends.

Stayed here for a night in November. Nice place. Ideal for a short stay in the city where you spend most of your time out in the city. Friendly and helpful staff.

The place is in an excellent location and it is clean. The wireless internet works well and the staff are friendly. The problem is that my room was very small, had no window and was pressed up against the dining room. This meant it was noisy and resembled a prison cell. Because of that it seemed a bit expensive for what I got.

Very friendly and helpful staff , very clean + new , automatic key card entry to the building , aircon , wifi ,or use of computers ,rooms are basic but good . It is in the middle of the city so the surrounding neighbourhood is not always appealing to the eye but that is all i can say bad .I will use again when I go , try and get a deluxe room if possible .
