Detta är en Pålitlig Recension. Varför?

We were right in that hotel but the room was not as good as we thought: it has the main door of the house incorporated. It means that someone knocked on the door, althought it has a remainding of enter by the secondary door. Also means that the door, from inside was closed with sticky paper all around. In the other hand, the hotel was cheaper than others and it is located in the center of the village, however the street is not very nice.

Detta är en Pålitlig Recension. Varför?

just stayed 3 nights at AWA Chamonix Chalet Whymper, from 13-15 July 2010. The location is the killer. You have the best location, almost next to the tourist info center and just next to the town center but still you are in a very quietly location. Oh, and a supermarket just next to you, which is very handy.

Cleanliness... they could imporve. Stayed there 3 nights the towels were not changed. Room was cleaned up for the first night (maybe by mistake), the 2nd and 3rd night were not cleaned up. But the room was neatly cleaned when we checked in. So it was not a big issue for me.

Breakfast was nice, fresh baked Baguette and chocolate Croissant, coffee, tea, juice, milk, jam and 3 kinds of cereals.

price was very good when I tried to find a room in Chamonix during mid July. Euro 78 including breakfast, with private toilet and bath, I couldn't find better offer!

one disadvantage is that there's no kitchen facilities.

Wifi is working perfectly, there's also a shared PC you can use to get online.

service... basically not much service, the owner give you the key and that's it. You have the freedom. But they are very kind. You will see the owner again at the breakfast the next day. For me, not a problem, I just need a room to stay. no service required.

I will recommend this chalet to persons who's looking for a budget but well equiped B&B. For the person who's looking for a luxury hotel with service, you will have to book other hotel which will cost you min. 100 euro excluding breakfast a night.
