Magnums on Magnetic really is Backpacker paradise! Magnums is the perfect place to chill out and recharge after the parties of Airlie or Cairns. Magnetic Island has long been a favourite spot for backpackers as it is one of the few remaining islands on the Great Barrier Reef that is still affordable. Magnums on Magnetic is located on two of Magnetic Islands most popular beaches and all rooms have an ocean views!

We truly are a backpacker resort with 2 gorgeous tropical pools, 6 pool tables, games room, internet access and backpackers kitchen. We are also currently installing a beach volley ball court that will be up and running early 2011. Magnums on Magnetic has 3 bars and a Sports Bar with big screen TV, $6 backpacker meals and the world famous "Toad Racing" every Wednesday. Backpacker games start in the bar from 7pm each night with great prizes!

Guests can laze by the pool in tropical surroundings or jump straight out of bed & go snorkelling across the road at Alma Bay.

Our 6 Share dormitories are excellent value. Large upstairs rooms with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, pool & ocean views for only $24 per person per night!

Looking for a private room? Take a private double or twin for only $75 per couple per night. These rooms are next the pool & have en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, fridge, kettle, colour TV & all your linen supplied. Deluxe private rooms are upstairs with balconies that feature gorgeous views over the pool & ocean, $80 per couple per night. All our private rooms sleep up to 4 for an additional $20 per person per night.

Magnums on Magnetic is just a short bus ride away from the Ferry Terminal. The Public bus service meets all passenger ferries and will drop you at the resort for $2.10 each way. We are located in Arcadia, the next Bay around from the ferry terminal. Alternatively taxis meet all ferries and can drop you here for a minimal charge.
