Barcelona Central Garden is an attractive middle sized new hostel located just 3 blocks from Plaza Catalunya. It is more than just a place to sleep; it’s a safe, friendly, clean, comfortable and relaxing home-away-from-home for genuine travellers. It is the perfect place to enjoy the city with opportunities to meet new people & feel truly at home. Located inside a beautiful 19th century building, our hostel offers varied bright & spacious rooms (except for the Budget rooms!) and plenty of shared shower & toilet facilities. We also have a comfortable lounge area, a PC room with free internet, an equipped kitchen & a dining room, all facing onto a beautiful outdoor garden terrace. Our staff are friendly & enthusiastic travellers who enjoy hosting social nights & informal dinners, and will help you to organize sightseeing activities so that you enjoy your stay in Barcelona.
IMPORTANT
This is a hostel for genuine travelers and therefore NOT a Party Hostel or Hotel so we cannot accept Stag & Hen parties or big noisy groups.
In order to facilitate community life, guests aged over 40 years old MUST reserve Private rooms or whole shared rooms (e.g. all of the beds of a “shared Dorm” must be booked) Please contact us if this affects you or you are travelling with children so as we can accommodate you and make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Remember that Budget Rooms are cheap & small private dorms furnished with bunk beds intended for young travellers or students & not recommended for guest looking for more comfort!
Check In
Reception is open from 9am to midnight. If you are arriving to Barcelona overnight or your arrival time has changed, please inform us (by email or phone) in order to coordinate your check in. The hostel needs to be aware of any changes.
Cancellation and Modification Policy:
Cancellations and modifications (such as postponing the arrival date or reducing the length of the stay) can be accepted free of charge only if notified by email (not by phone) at least 2 days before the arrival date, no later than 11.00 am Spanish time. Late cancellations, late modifications or no-shows will be automatically charged for the cost of the first 2 nights. Deposits paid are not refundable. Larger bookings can be required to pay an extra deposit before arrival to secure their booking.

IMPORTANT: All of our rooms (including the Budgets & the 2-Bed-dorm) are furnished with bunk-beds (one bed on top the other), except for the Twin rooms, which are furnished with 2 single beds. The Budget Rooms are cheaper since they're smaller. They're furnished with a bunk bed. Intended for young travelers or students & Not recommended for guest looking for more comfort! The term "private" implies "non shared room" it doesn't apply to the bath

1. AIRPORT to City by TRAIN (5am to 11:38pm)
Take the train at Terminal 2 to Passeig de Gracia Station (From T1 take the free shuttle to T2).Single ride 3.15€.With T10 card 0.93€/journey.
1.2.At Paseo de Gracia Station exit at the corner of Aragó.With Bank Pastor on your left, walk down Pg de Gracia for 2 blocks.On Diputacio St turn left for 2 more blocks- On Roger de LLuria turn left for the number 41
2. AIRPORT to City by AEROBUS (6am to 1am - 5€)
It departs from each Terminal (tickets onboard).Get off at Plaza Catalunia. With the large department store El Corte Inglés on your right, walk uphill on Passeig de Gracia for 1 block. Turn right at Gran Via (multi-lane road) and walk 2 blocks until Roger de LLuria.Turn left and walk 1 block uphill.You will see the hostel on the left (after Diputacio St)
3. AIRPORT to City by TAXI
Around 25€ from Terminal 2 and 30€ from Terminal 1.
4. AIRPORT to City by Night BUS (from 10pm to 5am)
Take Bus 17 to Plaza Catalunia.Then follow 1.2.Ride 1.45€.T10 accepted.
5. From SANTS Train Station
Take Metro L3 (Green) direction to Trinitat Nova. Get off at Passeig de Gracia.Then follow point 1.2
6. From GIRONA airport (87kilometres)
Take a bus to Estació NORD (70 min/12€).Then if day time: Take bus 54.Get off at Gran Via just before Roger de Lluria st. keep walking a few steps. On Lluria turn right for 1 block. After Diputacio St you will see the hostel on the left side of the road- If night time:Take a taxi(7€), ask full fare before!

This place was great. It was super clean and the garden patio is very nice. The staff speak English and are very helpful. Meeting people in the hostel is also easy. I've stayed in a lot of hostels in Spain and this one is by far the best. There are dishes to use, a safe, computers and the hostel organizes events like flamenco shows, however it is not a party hostel. I loved it!

Really well run and friendly. Big comfortable common area, beds were comfy, shower pressure was good, heaps of resources for travellers like guide books, free computers and wifi, free tea and coffee, everything was really clean, and they gave you a big explanation of everything you needed to know about Barcelone when you arrived. Highly recommended.

This hostel was the perfect place for my 14 year old daughter and I to stay in Barcelona! Amazing, caring and knowledgable staff, spotlessly clean and a great safe location. We had a fantastic time here and highly recommend it to anyone!

My stay at the Central Garden hostel was great!
The location is ideal, being only a short walk from the centre of Barcelona and within easy reach of numerous tourist places and restaurants etc.
The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and very welcoming! The room was simple and clean and we were very comfortable there for the weekend. The bathrooms were also very clean and I never had to wait to use one, which was great.
My only complaint is that the guests in the next room were a little noisy (repeatedly letting the door bang close early one morning), but this is no reflection on the hostel, just that some travellers aren't as respectful as most.
This didn't spoil our stay at all and I would absolutely recommend Central Garden to anyone looking for a hostel in Barcelona.
This hostel is wonderful. The staff are lovely and so helpful. Its clean and tidy.
The people who stayed there were nice, and I think thats a general thing because they wont tolerate difficult people staying.
Me and my friend stayed in a 5 bed dorm. It was really big, and open.
Its great value for money.I cannot say enough how nice it is, the location is excellent as well.
The only downside I would say is because the location is central, the noise can get a bit loud, but if you shut the shutters properly it generally isnt a problem.
