Le Jardin d'Alix is located in the garden district of Lille, the house stands in the midst of a huge garden with mature trees and many flowers. Your hostess is a dual citizen french and american.
The house is furnished with antiques and many oil paintings. The Matisse suite includes a bedroom, a bathroom, and a seperate living room with television set, video, and a small library. The Vuillard room has a balcony overlooking the garden, and a bathroom with shower and bathtub. All accomodations are luxurious. Wifi equipment.
The fees include a gourmet breakfast with home made jams and pastries. The nearby tramway takes you downtown Lille within 15 minutes, and there are parking facilities off the street.

Children are welcome, but please contact the owner in advance to advise us in advance when checking in along with baby children

This was a wonderful first stop for us in France. Our hostess Alexandra was lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was homemade bread, pastries and jams which were delicious. The house is beautiful and our room and ensuite were immaculate. Bed was very comfy after sleeping in hostels! It is out of main city of Lille but easily accessible by car (which we had) or tram way right outside. Lille itself is a gorgeous city to visit.
Highly recommend for a few nights get away or for a stop while passing through the area.
Easy to do day trips in any direction- Brussels or the sommee valley just a few options.

Wonderful stay in this B&B. Great service, beautiful garden and very friendly host.
Bit difficult to find though, because of the very anonymous gate.
If you're into big breakfasts, you'll be a bit disappointed: self-made bread (different types) and homemade marmalades are the only things she serves, but it is very tasty!
30 minutes from Lille-centre with tramway at least, with the car a bit less, but: parking in Lille is quite expensive!
I recommend this place for a lovely weekend in a charming city.

Lovely French house, very friendly hosts. Nice quiet location although quite far out of the town centre, but proximity to Le Tramway means this isn't a problem. Clean and comfy room with nice big bathroom, albeit that WC was outside of room. I wouldn't describe the breakfast as gourmet; perhaps this is lost in translation - but the home made jams and selection of breads were tasty enough. We'd definitely recommend Le Jardin d'Alix to people looking to stay out of town centre.
