The Great Lakes is where the magnificent Eastern Dividing Range forms a backdrop to one of the most dazzling stretches of coastline you will ever experience. Explore and immerse yourself in nature's varied moods from wide expanses of sub tropical forests to the tranquility of a deserted beach at sunrise. Trek through the ancient rain forest, paddle a serene lake, or bike to a cliff top lookout. Swim with wild dolphins, cruise on the Amaroo, or enjoy surfing at the various beaches in the vicinity. Wander through palm forests to a lake side out-door consecrated church, or spend a day exploring history in the hinterland towns. Coomba Park is nestled between Pacific Palms and Wallis Lake. Wallis Lake is 25 kms long and 9 kms wide with many islands and access points scattered around its shore. This magnificent waterway has numerous opportunities for waterskiing, kyaking and boating. There is a special charm that draws people to Pacific Palms. Blessed with the sparkling blue waters of the Tasman Sea and Wallis Lake, and surrounded by lush rain forest, the area is truly a place of natural beauty. The heartbeat of the Great Lakes, is the people who call it home, and it is this community who invite you to stay awhile.

Bed sheets and linen are provided as well as reading lights in all rooms.There ar 2 showers and 2 toilets
How to get here.
The best way to get to the Great Lakes is by car. Take the Pacific Highway North and turn off at The Lakes Way. Follow The Lakes Way until you come to Smith's Lake bus stop. A few hundred yards up the road is the turnoff for Coomba Park. Follow this road for about 17kms and eventually you will find Shallow Bay road on your right hand side. When you see the CRAZY sign post, then you will know that you have reached your destination. Be on the lookout for the yellow flags. Travelling time from Sydney is approx 4 hours.
Travelling by train & bus, take the train from Sydney Central Station to Newcastle, then take the coach which leaves at 2:30 pm every day, and get off at Smith's Lake where we will meet you by arrangement. The train to New Castle takes approx 2 and 3/4 hours
