Welcome to the new Hotel Mahayana, located on a calm street in the very active beach of Tamarindo. The hotel has just been renovated from the bathroom to the kitchen!

The Hotel Mahayana is the perfect spot to relax after a fun day at the beach.

We are only a short walk from the beach and even less from bars and restaurants in Tamarindo, well known for the large variety of tours and entertainment of all kinds offered. You can go sailing at sunset, track crocodiles in the mangrove and/or enjoy surf classes, scuba diving, snorkelling, sport fishing, 4x4 expeditions, canopy tours, bird watching and much much more. We will gladly help you to book your tours or find what you are looking for.

If you prefer to stay on the premises, you can relax in the Jacuzzi and enjoy the deck in the garden.

The 6 charming rooms all have air conditioning (AC), ceiling fan and a fridge. The double rooms have a double bed (Queen size) or 2 twin beds and the 4-rooms have 4 single beds, all with orthopaedic mattresses.

Each room have it's own hot water bathrooms and private terrace!.

There is also a common kitchen if you want to prepare your own food.

The reception will welcome you and help you booking activities.

By Car

Inter Americana (the 1) heading North, follow the signs to Puntarenas (2 hours)

Stay on Interamericana and follow the signs to Nicoya (1 hour)

Follow directions to Santa Cruz (2 hours). Once past Santa Cruz, turn left to Tamarindo which is clearly shown on the road sign. Keep going on this road for 20km

Once in Tamarindo refer to the above map to reach us.

By Car

Take the 21 heading West, coming from the airport, turn right when you get to the main road (15 minutes)

Make a right turn at the road sign to Tamarindo (just before the gaz station) (15 minutes)

Turn left in front of the Pacific Emergencies Clinic and Drugstore (20 minutes)

Make a right turn toward Tamarindo when you see the road sign "Tamarindo 4 km"

Public Bus station. From the Papa John's 200 meters East, 300 meters north, 100 meters west.

The company is named Transportes la pampa.
