stig_halsk Very good value for money furthered by the very helpful and friendly owner/manager Andrew and his assistant, manning the front desk that dubs as travel agency. Although I did not use any travel and tour services, a professional "in-house" travel agency is convenient and it was quite busy during my stay. Lovelii Guesthouse is located very centrally in Patong, 10 minutes to the beach through Bangla Road, behind Jung Ceylon Shopping Center; that is on a side street - soi - which is packed with all kinds of food carts from early evening onwards. My room was facing the soi and was somewhat noisy during the day and the early evening hours; Andrew kindly offered to change my room when another became free, but I did not find the problem big as I only had to stay for four nights - however, at a longer stay I would request a room at the back (on the other hand, it is next to impossible to find a centrally located guesthouse in Patong which is not affected by the very busy town). There is no restaurant attached to Lovelii Guesthouse but it is next door to a fully stocked 7Eleven.

miguel_es I have been 3 days. At the beginnig we have a confusion about the accommodation, but the manager was very polite and fix the problem very quick. I think they could improve some things like that the rooms are not completly isolated from noise. As well I think they should control more the night security, because I have found the guy sleeping whilst I get to my room. Perfect location If you like to pass some days at Patong beach or hanging around Bangla Street. Nice thai food. As the most hotels in Thailand, they must improve the wifi conection.
gbeejipp We stayed at Tatum Mansion for 3 nights. It has the friendliest staff and the owner Mr. Philip is such a friendly and helpful person. He gave us some briefing about Patong and the area where Tatum Mansion is located. I don't know if it is normal in Patong, but I found the murky tap water was a little bit distracting, although there's a notice saying that the water is not safe to drink. Guests should be well-notified with the complimentary drinks because I was shown the price when I asked for one. Tatum Mansion is surrounded with massage parlors and there no way you can avoid the girls whenever you go down to the beach. And they can be pushy at times and a little bit distracting that you might wish you had stayed at some other part of the town. But other than those mentioned, I'd definitely recommend staying at Tatum Mansion.
kyliesyme A really lovely hostel which is really close to the shopping centre and Patong Beach. Patong is a few minutes walk but is really easy. The shopping centre obviously has everything you could possibly need, a host of restraunts, shops and movie theatres. There is a local market across the street as well as the fresh food market next door (but far enough away not to smell!) They clean your room everyday which is nice, we had a tv and a huge fridge with our own bathroom as well so it was just like a hotel. There isnt internet, but it is easy enough to find, and no kitchen but food is everywhere nearby. The lady at the front desk is extremely helpful and polite. Great location, great friendly staff and excellent value for money.
