tonywoodward_ma We chose the hotel because it was close to Phuket Airport and our flight arrived very late at night, Although the hotel is not easy to find they picked us up from the airport 10 minutes after we had phoned to say we had arrived. They also provided transport to and from the local beach, which was very convenient. The room was quite basic but very comfortable. Breakfast was provided, but no choice about what you have. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Daymo Spent a few days in Bodega and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. It's location is perfect, right in the centre of Patong and literally 5 minutes walk from the beach and a short scooter ride to many hidden/deserted paradise-like beaches. Although the room was quite basic it was clean, cool and had a comfortable bed and mini-bar but the main reason I would recommend it is mainly down to service. The owner Robin was extremely helpful with arranging trips, transport, bikes and pretty much anything you need. The staff in the cafe Ra, Aman, Bang and Jay were extremely helpful and courteous and pretty much couldn't do enough for you, the cafe/bar itself is totally relaxing and has a nice atmosphere and is adorned with cool artwork from local talent along with funky tunes playing in the background and good drinks and food menu. At night the residents tend to congregate in the bar for a few before they head out except for Fridays which is open mic night, this is well worth checking out and will probably keep you there for the night. It has a tendency to draw a lot of Irish, American, British, Kiwi, Aussie and Canadian English teachers living in Phuket as well as the local musical talent of course (including it's own resident Rasta) and is a great place to get advise from people living in Thailand. So basically if you don't mind having no pool and are looking for an affordable room right in the heart of things then Bodega is for you. I wouldn't have any hesitations coming back!! Keep it up Bodega!
