For over 10 years, La Casa Roja has been known as Santiago's funnest hostel. Thousands of backpackers from all over the world have enjoyed relaxing in our pool, meeting people in our big back garden and getting to know our super friendly staff.

The Australian-run hostel resides in a huge, beautiful 19th century mansion in the historic Barrio Brasil, where classic architecture meets world-renowned street art. You'll find dozens of reasonably priced bars and restaurants as well as a metro stop just steps away. You don't have to leave the hostel, though, to find excitement. We have nightly events like barbecues, movie nights, wine tastings, live music, and theme parties. Our huge back garden features a bar, pool (with swim-up bar), jacuzzi and even a cricket net. Many of the nightly events take place there, so you are certain to have fun and make new friends.

La Casa Roja makes sure you are comfortable by offering round-the-clock hot water, fresh towels and lots of clean bathrooms. The spacious dorms feature high ceilings and big lockers. A huge communal kitchen with multiple refrigerators means you can shop at the nearby supermarket, cook and eat whatever you like. Free Wifi covers most of the hostel's sprawling common areas, so you can stay connected easily. A big computer lounge serves those traveling without electronics.

We have our own in-house travel agency that offers every service imaginable from ski trips/equipment rental to local sightseeing tours. We go great lengths to make your stay fun and comfortable.
