Durness Hostel, Smoo, 蘇格蘭

The landscape around Durness Youth Hostel is wild and spectacular. It's a land of mountains and sea, cliffs and waterfalls, beaches and rainbows. On a clear night the starry skies are phenomenal! It is also a surfing hotspot, thanks to the great waves!

Durness is a refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The hostel, a simple little wooden building, overlooks the famous Smoo Cave. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a very efficient drying room. The lounge, heated by a coal-burning stove, is cosy and peaceful.

By Bus:

Get the post bus from Lairg to Durness or Tim Dearman Coaches from Inverness to Durness.

By Train:

Nearest station Lairg. Get post bus from Lairg to Durness.

By Car:

Durness is on the A894 from Ullapool, and the A838 from Tongue.

On Foot:

Walk along the A894 from Durness village going towards Tongue. After 1 mile the hostel is on the left just before Smoo cave.
