paulbram50 This was my first stay in a hostel, and it was absoultely excellent. It was better than staying in a hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the relaxed atmosphere allowed people to meet one another in a friendly manner. The breakfast was an excellent bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Krowg I visited out of season and so had the whole apartment to my self. It's a two minute walk from the bus and rail station, and another two minutes from the main shopping area. Cardiff Bay is only twenty minutes away along the Taff river. The place is clean, warm and modern with excellent facilities including cable TV and Wi-Fi. The place is run by Abi and Charlie out of a hostel just around the corner. Abi is beautiful and lovely and kind, and Charlie is laid back, friendly and helpful. If I'd known that they were brother and sister and not husband and wife I would have asked Abi to marry me - and add rejection to my Cardiff experience. HUGELY recommended!!!
amanda.fry My son and I stayed for 2 nights so he could go to the UWIC open day, was easy to find, very central and close to all the amenities, Vue cinema, Milleneum Stadium, Bus and Rail Stations and all the shops. Was great value for money and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The only downside was it was very noisy and we hardly slept as our room was above the outdoor area and smoking zone!
kippycarte Been around the world and haven't found much better than this. From the warm welcome as you entered from Jason the owner to the brand new facilities on offer this was a real find and cant praise it enough. A fantastic hostel right in the heart of Cardiff city centre. Hope to return again very soon. Update 9th March 2011 - Once booked ring to check you actually have a reservation with this hostel. Have just had a confirmation booking to say that I had booked a room only to be told that they are actually full and they are still an hour later coming up as having availability on three other websites. They are obviously not updating their booking system on a regular basis.
swetlana.f the only thing i could say is that the beds have been a little bit uncomfortable, but for my short stay and for this price and the rest of the good things i liked it very much!

christinesander The location of the Cardiff Apartment was excellent and central to the city shopping and transport and the general ambience cheery and bright. It was adequately furnished but not entirely suitable for three adults requiring separate beds. There was one double bed in the bedroom and two lounge chairs which became single beds. These had to be extensively rearranged to fit the needs of the three guests. There was also inadequate bedding to accommodate three adults in separate beds (as it was summer we coped). Cleanliness was an issue as there were containers with cigarette butts on the balcony and a used drink bottle left behind by previous guests. Also the washing machine was inoperable and full of smelly water and mould. The agents Charlie and Abbi kindly offered the facility of their Backpackers to assist which meant considerable time was spent organising the washing trip a good 20 minute walk away as we did not have our own transport. The remaining facilities were adequate despite a lumpy lounge noisy fridge and lack of tea towels (after the washing machine experience we avoided the dishwasher) but we did enjoy our stay despite some of the above as these things could be easily remedied. As mentioned the agents Charlie and Abbi were helpful and friendly and we were contacted by phone the day before arrival with the key collection details. Cardiff is a delightful city.
