Erice
Erice is called a city but seems more like a hill-top village. It is thousands of feet above Trapani and in the summer the relative cool must be heavenly. However it is great in anything other than mist for its superlative views. Sadly it does get more than its share of mist.

where to jump out of a plane
There are some fantastic companies operating around the Whitsundays in QLD and also along the Great Ocean Road/Mornington Pennisular in VIC. Either of the places provides a great view over the ocean and cliffs as you jump. As for jumpin in Thailand - I'm with Eric19382.... don't think the safety record ... -
